Storms Last Night

We were hit with several pretty nasty storms last night, with little breathing room in between. Power was knocked out on my end of town almost right after it started. (power had been out in several locations and the other end of town earlier in the day) We were told it would take 72 hours to fix, that God it didn't take that long.


The storm started coming in about 6:30pm and the sirens went off.



The photo is a tad blurry, as it was hard to stay still with the incoming violent winds pushing at me.





Lightning to high and far out to see, illuminates the sky behind the police tower, power lines and emergency sirens.



And a few good lightning shots.. It wasn't easy, there was so much lightning and so much of it was low / close that the photos turned out to be white blobs.







The idea of no power for up to 72 hours really starts to sink in....


The next morning, still no power so a walk through the park gave us an idea of the storm's power..
