Honored for time donation.

Tonight I attended the first anniversary celebration and open house for the Wilmington Coalition for a Healthy Community.

The coalition was organized in November 2006. Its mission is to help all "segments of the community work together to create a safe, caring and drug free community where all residents - especially children and youth - are nurtured to achieve their personal, educational and economic potential."

A recognition ceremony honored residents who contributed to the group's success in its first year. I was pleasantly surprised to be called and accept a gold star for my donation of time toward establishing a web site for the coalition. I hope when it is done, it helps give easy access to information for parents and kids alike.

Thank you
